I feel that your strong points are your fantastic midwives. Each one of them bring something different to the clinic but each one of them are absolutely amazing.
I had an incredible experience here. The midwives throughout my pregnancy and delivery were so helpful and kind. The birth center atmosphere is so homey, calm, warm and relaxing. I felt I had so much freedom to labor however I needed to. The staff here are the best! The midwives and medical assistants are amazing, they truly care and offer support and encouragement!
The birthing suite is so comfortable and well-equipped and the nitrous oxide and huge bathtub are a winning combo! You inspired so much confidence and helped us not to feel so scared on the big day, I felt well cared for and appreciated being able to ask so many questions. I love all the staff! A special thanks to Melissa for delivering Ellis.
I appreciated that the facilities are private and quiet. I felt 100% in control of my labor and appreciated that I was able to take charge of how everything went. I was blown away when we were given family time once the really important stuff was taken care of, this was very meaningful and so important for baby and mother/father.
My birth experience was my own, things were allowed to progress naturally and we just rolled with the punches. The midwives always cheered me on and made the process feel normal, they made me so comfortable and helped me into positions I was afraid of (and they of course worked). I’m really happy with everything.
Achieving the GOLD status demonstrates meeting the highest level of standards recognized by Breastfeeding Friendly Washington. BFWA encourages organizations to promote and support breastfeeding by implementing recommended policies and procedures including Breastfeeding Washington’s Ten Steps for Birth Centers.
The Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers (CABC) provides support, education and accreditation to developing and existing birth centers. The CABC uses the standard of the American Association of Birth Centers (AABC). Upon awarding accreditation the CABC reviews nine factors to make sure the birth center builds and maintains community ties and meets the changing needs of the community it serves. The nine standards include planning; organization; administration; facility, equipment and supplies; quality of services; staffing and personnel; the health record; evaluation of quality care and research.
To help make your birth experience as comfortable as possible, we offer nitrous oxide to help with labor pain. Also known as “laughing gas”, nitrous oxide is a tasteless, odorless gas that when used, helps ease, causes a state of relaxation, euphoria and a reduction of anxiety. Nitrous oxide is self-administered, meaning you have total control over how much you want to use, or if you want to stop and try a different method of pain relief.
